Bell Buckle, Tennessee Senior Photographer | Class of 2011 | Amy

The Friday that we went out to Bell Buckle, it was sweltering! I showed up with straight hair & left with a nice wet, wave in it. But all in the name of Senior pictures! We had such a blast walking around the small town of Bell Buckle & getting these gorgeous images of Amy!

Love her laugh!

At the end, she pulled out her cowgirl boots & requested the railroad tracks. I really like how these turned out, Amy! Good call.

July 29, 2010 - 3:37 pm Jessica Helton - Love these!

29. Reach 300 followers on Twitter.

This is a pretty measly item to mark off my list. In fact, it’s so measly that I’m not sure why I put it on the list in the first place. But when I’m old & gray and I look back on my first 101 in 1001, I’ll be reminded of the fabulousness that is social networking.

July 29, 2010 - 3:35 pm Joy - So, how many have you completed so far?

Franklin, Tennessee Senior Photographer | Amy, Claudia & Morgan

Last week I had the privilege of shooting a few Senior sessions while I was in Tennessee. Morgan was the first & we shot her session in Franklin. When we came upon this white backdrop, we knew we had to play around with it to get some fun shots of Morgan with her best friends. I just love these girls.

*Note: I am by no means a studio photographer nor do I think I am. On location is totally my thing.

July 25, 2010 - 2:52 pm Jenna Allen - So cute Kate! :)

Camden, Alabama Wedding Photographer | The Aarons

I was so excited to drive to the sweet & quaint little town of Camden for this extra special wedding. These two are precious together (and so gorgeous!), & I am so thankful I was able to be a part of their day.

A little prep with the guys.

Then I spent a little time with the bride & her bridesmaids.

Two words. Manolo Blahnik. Gorg. I made sure to spend a few precious moments with these shoes.

Fightress & Marcus opted to do a First Look, which I absolutely loved. It freed up time before the ceremony to get plenty of shots of the wedding party & the happy couple. And my favorite part? The fact that a bride & groom are always surrounded by happiness with these few minutes alone together.

After the First Look, the entire bridal party drove to the downtown area of Camden for a few group formals. I so enjoyed working with this bridal party & was impressed by how cooperative they were, even in the 100+ degree heat. Thanks guys!

The bridal party left us so that we could get these two alone. I love the resulting images.

My favorite images from the ceremony are always the kiss & the images following the kiss.

Another sweet one after she has officially become an Aaron. I love what natural backlight can do.

On to the reception the began with a first dance.

And to wrap the night up, a bouquet toss. Love this series.

Congratulations, Fightress & Marcus! I so enjoyed your wedding day.

July 12, 2010 - 2:26 pm Adrienne Scott - I'm such a girl... I keep thinking, "what amazing shoes!" And great images, Kate! Love the set of images from in the stairway of the bride&groom!

Smyrna, Tennessee Wedding Photographer | The Staffords | After the Wedding

This was my first After the Wedding session. And I hope and pray that I get to do it again soon.
Needless to say, this was incredible.
Think of every awesome reason to shoot an After the Wedding session. Have a list? Well this session proved them ALL right! It seriously blew my mind how relaxed everyone was, how quickly the session went, how many images we captured in record time, & how easy it was to say “will you go stand in that pile of mud?” without a fight from anyone.

So Leah & Ryan-Thank you (no really…thank you thank you!) for being awesome. For being relaxed, for having fun, and for letting me capture your newlywed love together an entire month after your wedding. You’re the bomb.

Enjoy.

First location of the day. And my favorite.

This one makes me happy.

BEAUTIFUL!

Nashville, Tennessee Wedding Photographer | Amy & Wes

I sure do love these two.

We started out at Safe Haven Family Shelter for a couple of quick shots. Amy & Wes met here while they were both volunteering (yeah, I know. Super sweet story to tell the kids.)

Across the street was a little old house with a gorgeous backyard. (That is, in fact, the real color of Amy’s eyes. No contacts for her & no post-processing to make them any bluer. Crazy, huh?)

Then we made our way to downtown Nashville for the rest of the session. This one is definitely my favorite. I love how the hues change from cool to warm.

Printer’s Alley

I’ve seen a similar series to this before and have been wanting to try it myself. Love the way it turned out.

At the end of the session, we headed out to Starbucks in Green Hills for a little somethin’ to sip on and a few more quick shots. Amy & Wes’s first date was at Starbucks so it just seemed fit.

They’re just precious.

Can I have two favorites? Because I just love the lighting in this one.

July 4, 2010 - 1:38 am Courtney - These are amazing. You are beyond talented!
